centerline of support

Explanation:
My Dictionary of Building and Civil Engineering offers "centerline" and "axis" as translation for "Achse" and Stuetze - support or support beam, bearer, supporting pillar, column, stanchion, standard, stay, post, prop, rest (See also Ernst). If you do a Google search, you can find numerous hits for "centerline of support", ie. http://www.reiworld.com/asp/webhelp/etc/Output_DataTWS.htm

Good luck!
