control sensor / sensor control
Explanation:
Reading your sentence, I wonder if Steuerfüllung might be a typographical error and should read Steuerfühlung? It makes more sense (at least to my little blonde pea brain) that a "Fühlung" would transmit measured values.

I can't really back this up with anything – it’s just a gut reaction I had, and a quick peak in Google didn't net anything on Steuerfühlung (but neither did it yield any hits on Steuerfüllung…), but I thought I’d throw it out at you anyway. Maybe the term appears elsewhere again?

Thanks to all for your help. The document I'm working on is a Diploma Thesis, so there really should not be any typos in it, but I suspected one all the same. Since Ulrike had the same idea, and it does seem to make the most sense in this context, I decided to use control sensor.
Thanks again!

pressure control

Explanation:
steuer =control/trigger
füllung = admission/batch/charge. As charge also can mean pressure, I thought you might try the term "pressure control".
Good luck.

control sample

Explanation:
Steuer, Steuerung = control
Füllung= filling, but in this instance I think samplke woulkd be better. That's also a kind of filling, used for determining the temperature. "Control filling" would make no sense, I think.

Look at: http://cess.afit.af.mil/lrtmechanical/resource_tools/cooling...

Überhitzung = burn-out.
SO maybe also check: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=burn-out e...
