mixture-cooled two-stroke combustion engine Explanation: mixture-cooled two-stroke combustion engine (?) Hi Manfred – A Google search (below) yielded zero hits for your term, gemischgespü(ue)lt/e/er/er). There were, however, many hits for gemischgekühlt/e/er/es in your approximate context. Is it possible the _Spülung_ serves the purpose of _Kühlung_, i.e. that the terms are synonymous? On the other hand, this being a patent especially, Gemischkühlung might be a new concept (e.g., the mixture is used for cleansing or lubrication rather than cooling). Wyhlidal (Kraftfahrzeugtechnisches Wörterbuch, ISBN3 923195 01 X, 2145 pages and generally containing more automotive terms than Schmitt or J-L) lists gemischgekühlt/er as _mixture-cooled_ in the contexts of Hubkolbenmotor/reciporactingegine/piston and Kresikolbenmotor/rotary engine/rotor). I found no reference to gemischgespült... or -Spülung. Schmitt lists neither Gemischkühlung nor -spülung Google (any language:) Your search - gemischgespült OR gemischgespuelt OR gemischgespülte OR gemischgespuelte OR gemischgespülter OR gemischgespuelter OR gemischgespültes OR gemischgespueltes - did not match any documents. No pages were found containing "gemischgespült gemischgespuelt gemischgespülte gemischgespuelte gemischgespülter gemischgespuelter gemischgespültes". Your search - gemischspülung - did not match any documents. No pages were found containing "gemischspülung". HTH Tom see above |

Re: Gemischgespült - fuel mixture scavanging Explanation: The term spülen refers to expelling exhaust gasess from the combustion chamber by the incoming mixture. A similar patent states: Um die Spülverluste zu senken, ist vorgesehen daß über die gesamte Dauer des Gaswechsels im auslaßnahen Bereich... The english synopsis has here: ...in the area further away from the outlet, for the entire of the gas exchange process, in order to reduce scavanging losses. I know exactly what happens, but can not find a single reference tying it into a neat package like "gemischgespült". Manfred |
