German term or phrase: erfindungsgerecht; Quetschdichtung
Eine besonders erfindingsgerecht Konstruktion der beiden Quetschdichtung.....
Desre Derda
English translation:See below
Explanation:
For erfindungsgerecht, I would suggest using 'invention-specific'. I must add that I have never seen erfindungsgerecht before. I believe 'erfindungsgemaess' is more common. Other possibilities might be 'based on or according to the invention'. As for Quetschdichtung, my dictionaries did not have anything to offer. Under Quetschverbindung: Wyhlidal Automotive Dictionary offers pressure connection or compression connection. I believe that Quetchdichtungen are normally implemented in such connections. Therefore, one could render it as pressure or compression seal. I tried to see if I could find anything in the Internet under these keywords. But found nothing. When typing Quetschdichtung into the search engine of fireball.de, I had two hits:

Following this, I would suggest simply using "sealing gasket or seal". Hope this helps somewhat.

Explanation:
Ernst agrees with Leipzig about "erfindungsgemäß" being more common (Ernst does not even show "erfindungsgerecht" and gives the translation "according to invention" but the invention-specific from Leipzig sounds better to me too. "suitable for the invention" might also be good in your context. This is the only worthwhile reference I could find for Quetschdichtung, here it sounds simple enough, like the tape or paste one wraps around or applies to pipe threads before screwing pieces together but it is probably something much more complex and sophisticated in your context: "Die geschraubten Elemente werden mit einer dauerelastischen Dichtungsmasse als Quetschdichtung montiert." - http://www.farmatic.com/umwelt.html

suitable or appropriate; compression seal

Explanation:
since onr of the meanings of 'gerecht' is 'just' or 'justified', and we have to assume that the author knew what he meant to say, then 'suitable to the invention' or 'appropriate to the invention' seems better to me.

for Quetschdichting, 'compression seal' is a good general term. If the context justifies it, you could be more specific, such as 'compressing sealing ring.
