"Das Gesamtkonzept sieht eine Laserquelle mit zwei Beschriftungsköpfen vor. Die zwei Beschriftungsköpfe werden mit der Laserquelle mittels Lichtleitfasern verbunden. Der erste Beschriftungskopf wird so zugebracht, wie bis jetzt geplant war. Unter diesem Kopf wird der WT mittels Schnelleinzug in Position gebracht. Der zweite Beschriftungskopf wird nach der Schnelleinzug in separater Schutzverkleidung angebracht. Hier wird der Werkstückträger freigleitend in Beschriftungsposition transportiert bzw. anschließend dort ausgehoben und indexiert. Die Beschriftung in den beiden Stationen erfolgt zeitversetzt. (in der Zeit, wann bei der anderen Station WT-Wechsel passiert) Zwischen den beiden Beschriftungsstationen wird eine Wendestation vorgesehen, wo der Versteller um 180° gewendet wird. Auf dem Dichtdeckel werden fünf kurze Linien in Radialrichtung so markiert, daß die Linien auch auf der Mantelfläche der Schraubenköpfen sichtbar werden. Hierzu gehört eine max. Markierungszeit von 1 s."

Thanks, Tom, for the fast response. The client said to interpret this as "not locked into a particular orientation." I am using that, however, I have my doubts, as the text does say "in marking position" which sounds like a definite orientation to me.
