German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase: offenlegen
"... mithilfe der OPENXML-Klausel können Daten aus einem XML-Dokument als relationales Resultset offen gelegt werden."

"... the OPENXML clause can be used to ??? data from an XML document as a relational resultset."

All I can come up with is "declare", but I'm not a programmer.

Any programmers out there who understand what this author is trying to say?

TIA,

Steve

disclose

Explanation:
I'm not a programmer either, but "disclose" is always a good word for offenlegen.

Explanation:
I would simply use shown, it sounds basic, but it does the job.

manipulate

Explanation:
this might seem like it comes from out of left field, but for me, the sense is that use of an openxml clause or tool will enable easier extraction and manipulation of the code as a relational resultset than would be possible within an xml document.

hope this helps

Explanation:
All three of the above arte possible terms within the context tyou have given. Personally I would opt for "retrieve", as the OPENXML clause causes a recordset to be retrieved, that is available on screen.

reveal

Explanation:
...real time presentations typically reveal device and data dependencies through variations in presentation quality.

Quranic verses reveal the significance of Jesus as a...

I wasn't sure if the preposition "as" is correct, but I have come along a couple of sites where "reveal..as" is used.
I think that would fit the context.
