In a document describing the installation of a tower and radio antenna, in a section describing the assembly of the cable reflector structure.

Specific context:

'Auf der Baustelle werden die Seile ausgerollt und mit Anspannspiralen miteinander verbunden.'

I know what an Abspannspirale is -- a length of stiff cable bent into a loop, with the two ends formed into interleaved, open helices with opposite twists, which in use are wrapped around the end of a wire rope to form at attachment eye. They are used throughout NA for attaching guy lines to ground anchors -- but what are they called?

Thanks for the effort. I found this site also, but the translation is incorrect, as can be seen from the illustration on the site (a turnbuckle has two eyescrews or the like threaded into a central member that can be turned to tighten or loosen the attached cables).

From a **lot** of googling, it appears that these items are called 'preformed wire grabs' or 'deadend grabs' in English.
