German term or phrase: Transportzustand
Die Maschine muss für den sicheren Transport in den dafür vorgesehenen Transportzustand gebracht werden.

'Transport conditions' don't seem to apply to this sentence. Do they mean a 'shipping crate'?

English translation:prepared for transport
Explanation:
I recently came across a similar sentence (DE>NO; it might even be the exact same one), and I translated it approx. as follows:

... the machine must be prepared for transport as described... (above/below/etc.)

The client hasn't complained. :-)

transportable condition

Explanation:
I don't think that "Transportzustand" applies only to crates or other packaging. The machine itself must be put into such condition that it cannot move (e.g. movable parts are blocked for safety reasons) or that its parts that need e.g. lubrication may stay unaffected during the shipping.

(1) The member should ensure that the mobile home is prepared properly for shipment and in a transportable condition at the point of pickup.

Another idea: shipping condition

Explanation:
fidotext absolutely has the right idea; you just about have to reword this, since the German language is much more fond of abstract nouns than is English. If you can't use his construction exactly (because the instructions aren't in your text), you could say something like 'In order to ensure safe shipment of the machine, it must be properly prepared for shipment .' You could also delete 'properly' and add '... as prescribed/...according to the prescribed instructions/...in the prescribed manner/'. If this is in a user's manual, you will usually see something like 'The machine must be properly prepared for shipment in order to prevent damage during shipping. See the instructions in section xxx...'.
