Tech/Engineering / Dental Device
German term or phrase: Kathodenaufnahme
"Kathodenaufnahme:

Sie enthält 8 Steckplätze zur Aufnahme der Stahlkathoden. 6 im inneren Kreis und 8 im äußeren Kreis."

From a description of the components of a device for making dental gold crowns and bridge frameworks.

"Aufnahme" has a lot of different translations, and I'm not sure which one fits best here. My current best guess is receptacle or retainer, but there are very few hits for "cathode receptacle" or "cathode retainer". TIA for your help, and Happy Christmas to all.

Looks like "cathode holder" or "cathode socket" will do the business. Thank you very much indeed for that, Jill and all the peer graders! Hope you had a good snooze Jill - only one more sleep until Santa now! ;-)
