German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase: eingewickelte
In a description of "Zugfedern mit Ösen" (tension springs with loops?)we have two pictures: one is a spring with "eingewickelte Ösen" where the spring's loops get smaller towards the ends and the other is a spring with "angebogene Ösen" where the loops of the spring remain the same diameter to the ends. Also in the notes they refer to the "eingewickelte Vorspannkraft" of the spring. So what is this "eingewickelt" in the spring world? Any help greatly appreciated!

wrap up

Explanation:
Einwickeln (eingewickelt being the past tense) means to wrap up, although I think this is not the correct word for a technicle document. Perhaps this can lead you in the right direction!

Good luck! Ciao! :)

wound

Explanation:
'Einwickeln' with respect to loops (and drives, rollers, etc.) is 'wound'. 'Einwicklungstransformator' for example is a single-winding transformer (or single-coil transformer).
