Thanks for your help, this sounds good. I do think variables can be changed as long as it is done consistently. However, that is not intended on this project; only the comments will be translated. In this case, the source code was convered to a text format, a Word file with over 300 pages which with any luck will be converted back to S7 format. It's a huge pain to translate because I can't use "replace all"! Thanks again.
