Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase: kaskadierbar
This term is used to describe components (of a system using light sensors) which are connected in series in a cascade. Some components are not "cascadable", i.e. cannot be used in a cascade. Is cascadable a word (my spellchecker does not like it) or is there something better?

cascadable

Explanation:
As an addition to the previous answer, kaskadierbar sounds very much like a translation of "cascadable" in the first place. In general, English is much more flexible in this respect and
-able can be added to virtually anything if it makes sense in the context.

Explanation:
I'm not quite sure, but I thought you were looking for a translation of cascadable - if you were, I can confirm that kaskadierbar is, if not a word you may find in a dictionary/spell checker, used relatively widely in technical texts as a translation of cascadable as seen here http://www.ankaro.com/Sat_E/E_Systemverteilung_5x.html and its counterpart below.
