German term or phrase: translation rates
I know this is a forum for asking transltion questions but I really need some advice. I have been doing a trial translation (GER-ENG) for a company and they have asked me what my rates are. It is a 4000 word, technical document and as I am a young, inexperienced translator I´m not exactly sure of the going rate. Can anyone give me some advice, please.

Explanation:
Call up a few translation services and tell them you have a 4000 word, technical document you would like translated. In your case it depends on your yearly earning expectations and the number of hours you are willing to work for it. If someday you find having more work than you can handle raise your price. If this does not help raise your price again.
