German term or phrase: begehbar
Normally I'd translate begehbar as accessible or s.th. that can be walked on, but this sentence stumps me: Pressrohre mit einer Nennweite - kleiner, gleich 800 mm, gelten als nicht mehr begehbar und unterliegen gemäß RAL Gütezeichen den V2 Auflagen. How can a driving pipe, ie, tool for excavating, be accessible?

(not) man-sized
Explanation:
Concerns entering a pipe. With the reference to the diameter, this should be the correct translation.

A piep can be accessible, if the diameter is large enough (man-sized). 800mm are not.

disagree  mckinnc: sounds odd: saying a pipe is man-sized or not does not indicate that you would actually enter it

it is not possible to enter a pipe

Explanation:
I would change the sentence in some such way. If you say pipes are inaccessible you can give the impression that you can't get at them and not just in them.
