Kuenstlername Explanation: according to my Google search, this term is still used. In the olden days that was the name for craftsmen of the highest rank. Meister is the highest rank for a craftsman. They were well-known for some trades like organ design, violin making, furniture making, etc. A suggestion for the title: Fetischismus der Kuenstlernamen Collectors have been known who would buy a worm eaten piece of furniture for the craftsman's name on it. |
