German term or phrase: Abwicklungsansicht
I am still fighting with the UML & VRML modeling languages job. It is about an e-commerce platform utilizing an interactive 3D catalog. Here they are discussing the customer constructing and ordering relatively complex products via this virtual catalog. This is the context:

"Der Katalog überwacht die Einhaltung der Konstruktionsregeln und korrigiert falsche Angaben. Ecken und Ausschnitte können gesondert definiert werden. Der Kunde kann sich verschiedene Abwicklungsansichten ausdrucken. Das zusammengestellte Produkt wird von dem Programm dreidimensional visualisiert."

I have found "development view" at this site:

Do you think "development view" = "Abwicklungsansicht", or is there a better term?

development view seems to fit quite well
Explanation:
I may be "betriebsblind" right now, dealing with SAP terminology, so I immediately flashed on

transaction view or

However, your context seems to indicate that the view is still being constructed, so this might be jumping the gun, as it were.
Ferretti does support Abwicklung = development, so you should be safe.

Three out of four seem to agree with me that the word I want should be some form of the stem "develop". Personally, I have no idea whether "developed", "development" or "developmental" is right so I ran a search Alta Vista (because Alta Vista pays better attention to quotation marks) on all three forms together with the word view, with the following results:

1. "developed view" – 291 hits - not very pertinent, mostly social science, historical, political and general contexts

2. "development view" - 1744 hits - mostly pertinent, contexts concerning visualization, animation, CAD and programming in general

3. "developmental view" - 671 hits - similar contexts to "developed view"

Although "developmental view" sounds better to me, I chose "development view" based on the statistics. Since I cannot give the points to Alta Vista because to the best of my knowledge they are not ProZ members, UEL must get the points, but not too many because nobody seemed 100% sure what is right. The translation has been delivered; we will see what the customer says on Monday. - Thank you all! - Dan

views of different executions / constructions / final products

Explanation:
Abwicklung can refer to where you wind up in whatever matter you are carrying out. The word different here refers, I think, to the views of different end products you can construct or assemble. (Not to the satges along the way of development, which can also be = Abwicklung.) Then you could see which one you want to order. Nancy

see below

Explanation:
I'm sure you already know this, but Ernst lists Abwicklung (Zeichn.) as developed view, which makes sense if the customer can print out different developed views during the course of constructing/developing/assembling the final product. This would seem to apply to a view of a product at some stage in the development, or also upon completion of the development process.
After reading Nancy's answer, if the printouts are of different executions, then something like different design views might fit. HTH, Beth

Development

Explanation:
According to Technical Drawing (Giesecke, Mitchel, Spencer, Hill)
All section headings refer to sheet metal layout:
To find the development of a hood and flue
To find the development of a truncated oblique rectangular pyramid
Development of a transition piece etc.
The graphical presentation of such a development on paper, as the other writers mentioned is a Devevelopmental View. It looks like what you get when you cut open a card bord box.
