My iwt electronics dictionary gives "build-up time" as the translation of Einschwingdauer, as used in the DE text.

agree  sci-trans: The term "build up " is more accurate than "transient oscillation" as the latter term could also refer to the decay phase or even a complete pulse (cf. einschwingen vi (aufbauen von Schwingungen) ™ build up vi; e-Fachw. Technik u. angw. Wiss.)
