Zu dessen Ermittlung entwickelten wir eine spezielle, per Videosystem kontinuierlich erfolgende Kontaktwinkelmessung eines auf die Textiloberfläche **definiert aufgebracht** Wassertropfens.

They are calculating the surface index to see how well a textile absorbs liquid sweat.
"placed on the textile surface in a defined/controlled manner" just doesn't seem to flow! Any suggestions?
