Hi translating for Americans - and my local knowledge has run out! Please excuse my British ignorance!

Er stellt sich um auf Fremndeverkehr und will in einem Jahr die ersten Gaeste begruessen.

In my context I would use Bed & Breakfast - What would the Americans use?

Bed & breakfast IS (also) a North American term. See first link below. I even think the term originated in the States (don't come down on me if I'm wrong though...)

Why are you using B&B for Fremdenverkehr? Doesn't it mean 'tourist traffic'?
