This comes from an assembly / maintenance manual for a train carriage:

Die Tür wird manuell über ein *Stangenschloss* verriegelt. Von innen erfolgt die Betätigung über einen Dreikantdorn, der in der Türhöhe mittig angeordnet ist. Von Außen kann die Tür mit einem Türdrücker, ebenfalls in der Türhöhe mittig angeordnet, geöffnet werden. Im oberen Bereich des Türflügels ist ein Türschließer mit Gleitschiene montiert.

The preceding sentences talk about the composition of the door (i.e. materials etc.)

I have come accross various translations for Stangenschloss, including "bolt lock" and "bar lock", but do not know which, if either of these, is appropriate here. Hope someone can help!
