stocking/retrieval cycle

Explanation:
Not sure if stocking and retrieval are the correct terms, but Spiel= cycle

Einzelspiel
Kombiniertes Spiel

agree  Johannes Gleim: "cycle" is correct for "Spiel", other than "play" for example.

Storage and retrieval cycle

Explanation:
The term "storage and retrieval cycles" is used with AS/RS (RBGs).

Example sentence(s):
  • Fixed clear view triplex masts with integrated sideshift as standard ensure smooth, highly efficient storage and retrieval cycles.

pick and placement accuracy

Explanation:
With respect to my colleagues above, but "Spiel" in a robotics context is a gap (or tolerance). This is a measured value usually given in micrometers or nanometers, indicating the gap between the surface of the robotic arm and the machine/workpiece into which the arm moves.

The terms of art in robotics is "pick and place". Pick and place is a fundamental concept in robotics. You can only translate 'einlagern/auslagern' to 'storage/retrieval' in a logistics/warehousing context: wheeled robots that pick and place freight/boxes on a rack. You see these robots a lot, for example, in warehouses of Amazon or any industrial warehouse for that matter.

However, since your context mentions 'Teleskoparme', this is most likely a simple pick and place robot with telescopic arms.

Again the "Spiel" here is not a cycle. That is why your sentence says "Ein-/ Auslagerspiel...prüfen". This is some sort of test to check the placement accuracy - typically based on software inputs. You don't want your robotic arm to smash into the workpiece. Accuracy has to be within a strict tolerance range beyond which the robot will malfunction.

By the way 'Behälter' in a robotics context is translated to 'bin' (and most definitely not 'container')

disagree  metranslations: Johanna's explanation clearly states the context. This is an AS/RS in a warehouse.
