Die «Hämingsteig» südlich von Guntmadingen ist eine steile Rampe mit einem mehrere Meter langen, künstlich angelegten Felsdurchbruch und in den Fels gehauenen Spurrillen.
Diese so genannten Karrgeleise bewahrten die schwer beladenen Wagen, deren Räder zum Bremsen blockiert waren, auf der Talfahrt vor seitlichem Abgleiten.
