Helló, drágám!

Explanation:

Szia!

Explanation:
Greetings are an extremely delicate matter in Hungarian. Depending on the grade of intended intimacy you may choose:

Helló Drágám! (drágám sounds a bit old old-fashioned, like between husband and wife)
Helló, Édes! (very intimate or pretending to be intimate: jocular, a bit too "süß")
Szia, Édes! (intimate, if you really like him and want to flatter him)

"Helló" is indeed somewhat more trendy than Szia, but I wouln't call "Szia" old-fashioned, either.

Both "Édes" and "Drágám" are also used between elderly ladies and sound a bit slimy.

Why not just: "Szia!"?
