Secondo me significa che non dispone di entrate derivanti da attività lavorativa; direi che è sinomino politicamente corretto di Hausfrau, come suggerito anche da belitrix.

Reference: Mir erscheinen die Antworten richtig.

Hier scheint es nicht um die genaue Berufsbezeichnung zu gehen, sondern um den Berufsstatus: Arbeiter, Angestellter, Beamter etc. Zum Beispiel habe ich diesen Text gefunden:

"...eine Anpassung an die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen, in denen Arbeiter,
Angestellte oder Private je nach Status - jedenfalls nicht Beamte -
innerhalb der Gesetzgebung gefangen sind."

Ich denke, "libera professionista" ist hier richtig.

Für mich gibt's da einen riesigen Unterschied. Wenn ich von "libera professionista" spreche, dann geht es um "Übersetzer - Juristen..." etc. Das ist aber hier m.E. nicht gemeint.

Direi piuttosto uno che non può venire qualificato a seconda una qualsiasi professione. Forse si evita qui il termine casalinga o disoccupata [???]
