da quello che ho capito nelle mie ricerche si riferisce alle arti "moderne" vedi pop-art o design che sono destinate al consumo di massa.

se così non fosse nel tuo contesto, allora l'unica alternativa comprensibile e che si tratti di un sinonimo di Volkskunst e si debba tradurre con arte popolare.

vedi un paio di link (e poi naturalmente facci sapere ... !)

1) si vede di qui quanto i fattori prosodici siano importanti in questa oratoria merceologica e insieme in questa 'arte di consumo' o pop art o Gebrauchskunst o art d'assouvissement che è il linguaggio della pubblicità.
