Der LCP ist ein Luft/Wasser-Wärmetauscher der entwickelt wurde, um hohe Verlustleistungen aus Serverschränken abzuführen bzw. in Serverschränke eingebaute Server und ähnliches IT-Equipment (Switches, etc...) gleichmäßig, effektiv und kostengünstig zu kühlen.
Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Serverschränken, die mittels perforierten Front-und Rücktüren ein Höchstmaß an Luftdurchlässigkeit erlauben, stellt der LCP eine jeweils in sich abgeschlossene Einheit aus Kühlung und wahlweise einem oder zwei Serverschränken dar.
