Contexto:

Das nach Auftrennen von Obergewebe und Untergewebe erhaltene Gewebe weist ein Polaussehen ähnlich dem in Fig. 1 gezeigten auf. Gleich neben einem ersten Spannkettfaden sind zwei Bindekettfäden angeordnet. Es folgt dann die abgebundene Polnoppe und die eingebundene Polkette. Die gleiche Reihenfolge findet sich dann für die Spannketten, die Bindeketten usw. In dem Fall einer ersten Polnoppe sehen wir, daß die Basis der U-förmigen Polnoppe durch den zu ihr in der unteren Stellung auf der Rückseite des Gewebes nächsten linken Bindekettfaden nach rechts gedrückt ist, während die aufrechten Schenkel der U-förmigen Polnoppe durch die eingebundenen Polkettfäden gegen die mehr links an der Polseite liegenden oberen Bindekettfäden gedrückt sind. Dies bedeutet, daß die Polnoppenschenkel nach links orientiert sind.
