Spanish translation:y comprobó que llevaba el arma
Explanation:
En mi opinión, una traducción «literal» quedaría un tanto forzada. Sonaría más natural «comprobó que llevaba el arma» o, si mucho me apuras, «comprobó que el arma estaba en su sitio» (y no creo que haya que especificar que era la reglamentaria, puesto que si es poli ya se supone).
