Im Rahmen der Entwicklung des SICAS-Stellwerksrechners und des verteilten Leitstellensystems VICOS für den Einsatz in den Bereichen Stadt und ausländische Fernbahnen ist eine Schnittstelle für den Prozessdatenfluss zu definieren, über die der Anlagenzustand übertragen und Bedienhandlungen abgewickelt werden können. Im Zusammenhang mit dieser Schnittstellenfestlegung ist die Verteilung der Funktionalitäten und der darauf abgestimmte Prozessdatenfluss (Telegrammaustausch) so detailliert zu beschreiben, dass beide Systementwicklungen parallel betrieben werden können.
