Ο όρος verticalization υπάρχει και είναι νεολογισμός από τα γαλλικά. Ωστόσο, δεν έχει υποκαταστήσει τον κλασικό όρο vertical integration. Δεν έχει νόημα να βρούμε π.χ. 10.000 χύμα παραδείγματα στον διεθνή ιστό όταν τα αντίστοιχα χύμα παραδείγματα του vertical integration production είναι πάνω από 600.000. Στο uk αν ζητήσουμε "verticalization of production" ή "verticalisation of production" δεν θα βρούμε τίποτα.
