Greek term

με βαθμό

Greek to English Medical Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
Σε πιστοποιητικό: Ο ΧΧΧ κρίθηκε άξιος του πτυχίου του Τμήματος Χ με βαθμό ΛΙΑΝ ΚΑΛΩΣ.

ΤΟ ΛΙΑΝ ΚΑΛΩΣ TO ΒΡΗΚΑ AS " UPPER SECOND-CLASS HONOURS". θΑ μπορούσε εδώ να χρησιμοποιηθεί ο όρος grade για το βαθμό?

Το δικό μου πτυχίο λέει "has been awarded".

Εφόσον βέβαια μιλάμε για βρετανικό πτυχίο, έτσι;
Peer comment(s):

neutral transphy : 'awarded' is also correct, depending on who is talking. I thought the wanted, here, is the term 'ΛΙΑΝ ΚΑΛΩΣ'.

Indeed, and I have mentioned both alternatives. Regarding what the term in question is, please see my comment on your response.

Upper Second/Two

The equivalent in England, for 'ΛΙΑΝ ΚΑΛΩΣ' is A YOU SAID.
Ex. He/She took a degree in xx and attained/ got i.e First Class Honours, Upper Second, or even Upper Two........etc. Degree, as opposed to the American system where they 'Majored' in......
So, the translation might go like this:- 'xx received an Upper Second in xx from the Department of xx' even without mentioning the word 'Degree', as that is understood.

Thanks.
neutral Georgios Tziakos : Pardon me, but the source term is "με βαθμό" and not "ΛΙΑΝ ΚΑΛΩΣ", and I answered accordingly. The poster made it clear that she has already found the appropriate translation to the grade classification itself (which I also confirmed in my answer).
