day Explanation: Yom (in Hebrew) means [a] day. Yamim means days. You may be thinking of the problem, How did god create the world in a few days when science tells us it took millions of years. One suggestion is that god's day is short for god, but equals millions of years for humans. However, there is no ambiguity about the Hebrew words themeselves.
