Theremin
Explanation:
Lev Termen (anglicised to Léon Theremin) was a Russian inventor, mostly known for his work in Soviet espionage technology (surveillance equipment) and the musical instrument the "Theremin".

I believe that "הטרמין" could be an homage to this gentlemen.

Referring to a radar system that has many parallels with his musical instrument.

The Theremin has antannae that detect the movement of your hands using radio frequency oscillators, similar to how radar works with its antannae using radio waves to detect the movement of aircraft, ships etc.

Therefore, I think that they are using a sort of metaphorical in-house jargon "הטרמין" to refer to the radar system.

I was unable to find any other reference to it online or anywhere else, which is why I think it was a term only used by a specific "in-group" (the Army, IDF).

Hope this helps!
