As far as I know this is from the Bible. It must be the name given to Simon, meaning 'rock'.

Here it is said that it is a Syriac surname given by Christ to Simon.

If it's found in the Bible it means Peter since Peter is the Greek version of Cephas (Aramaic word for rock). Cephas was - as already mentioned - a name given to the apostle Simon by Jesus because he was to be the rock upon which the Christian church was to be built.

New Testament, John, Chapter 1:

1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said,
Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is
by interpretation, A stone.
