submission Explanation: Yislam, as far as I am aware, is not Hebrew. The literal meaning of Islam(in Arabic) is peace; surrender of one’s will i.e. losing oneself for the sake of God and surrendering one’s own pleasure for the pleasure of God. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 53 mins (2008-07-04 11:05:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The root letters of the word Islam (s-l-m) also correspond to those of the Hebrew word Sahlom (meaning - peace).
