"from the ground (to) the sky"

If you tried looking this up in an abridged dictionary, you may have had trouble because both nouns are Persian, a language whose vocabulary often supplants Urdu/Hindi.
This might well be an idiom. These nouns are used together in some idioms to suggest great obstacles. For instance, "zamin-aseman ek karna" means "to make great efforts".

From the earth to the skies

The translation should be 'from the earth to the skies [or heavens]'. It would depend on the context in which the sentence was uttered. To use 'ground' for 'earth' sounds a bit jarring.
