just in case it's not from the Indian subcontinent (as you write: "probably any foreign language"), it could also be Cuboe language from Columbian indians:

"The Cuboe Indians of Columbia believed that the sun and the moon were the same. Avya was the supernatural being who made the light. He walked across the sky all the time. At night he would make less light so people could sleep. They believed that spells from evil magicians made Avya sick and caused eclipse."
