Tud valaki egy EU kifejezést erre? Néhány helyen előfordul a "fast-traffic roads", de ez egy kicsit sántít, Angliában nem használják. Van ennél jobb gyűjtőfogalom? Szeretném elkerülni azt, hogy "motorway and dual carriageway network"-nak nevezzem.

disagree  susanna b: 'network of enclosed carriageways and motorways', az eddigi javaslatok nagyon amerikaiak, egyiket sem használják angilában vagy eu-s szövegkörnyezetben. gyorsforgalmi út valóban nincs angliában, de az 'enclosed carriageway' ezt fejezi ki.

Az eddig javasolt kifejezések amerikaiak, nem használják sem brit, sem eu-s szövegkörnyezetben. Angliában valóban nincs gyorsforgalmi út vagy arra vonatkozó szó, de az 'enclosed crriageway' olyan autóutat jelöl, ahol nem lehet megállni (=magyar gyorsforgalmi út). A többi gondolom érthető.

Az utak rendszerezése még Európán belül is sokféle, lásd pl. az angol "trunk road" besorolást.
Mivel a zárójelbe tett magyarázatot úgyis hozzá kell tenni, (legalább is a kérdésből úgy tűnik), a fenti megoldja a problémát.
