Tudom, hogy már választottál, de azért hozzászólok.
Sajnos megint nem adtad meg az egész mondatot, pedig itt is jó lett volna, merthogy:
Ami magyarul "másoddiplomás képzés", az angolul "graduate studies", azok az egyetemek ahol ilyen képzés folyik, "graduate school"-nak nevezik magukat, vagy az egyetemnek azt a részét, ahol ez az oktatás folyik.
A lényeg az, hogy a tanulmányok elkezdéséhez feltétel az, hogy egy diplomája már legyen az embernek, és attól magasabb szintű diplomát fog kapni a képzés végén.
A second degree szerintem nem fejezi ki a magasabb diplomát, csak annyit, hogy az illető kap még egy, MÁSIK diplomát, ami lehet teljesen független az elsőtől. Pl. az első diplomája orosz szakos tanár, a második meg fogorvosi.
Meg kellene nézni, hogy pontosan melyik esetről van szó.

Referenciaként annyit tudok mondani, hogy Magyarországon jártam másoddiplomás képzésre (főiskolai szintű diplomával be, egyetemi szintűvel ki), és itt az USA-ban is jártam "graduate school"-ba, ahol a felvételi követelmény a Bachelor's szintű diploma volt, a végén meg Master's volt a jutalom.
