Christmas Eve Explanation: We do things a bit different here... Dec 24th is called aðfangadagur and on that evening Icelanders enjoy splendid meals and open their presents. Both aðfangadagskvöld and jólanótt are used for that evening/night. So you were right in the first place. The 25th of December is called jóladagur, and possibly the writer didn´t want to be too repetitive by saying jól in every sentence. |
