almost directly opposite in the night sky Explanation: I'm not exactly sure how to express the "orizzontalmente" bit, but it means that to the observer the two constellations (the Big and Little Dipper) appear almost directly opposite one another in relation to the horizon. In other words, not opposite each other on the entire celestial sphere (which you wouldn't be able to see from the earth's surface, of course), just opposite as seen in the night sky by a single observer. |
