È in un breve racconto, sta parlando una persona cinica.

"Ma tu sembri proprio il tipo che si tuffa nella fogna per un po' di oro."

Posso anche non essere letterale, se ci sono modi di dire per fare capire che una persona è avida, ancor meglio.

Per ora ho:

Explanation:
If you saw a few specks of gold glinting in a sewer, you'd dive in headfirst.

I think a little poetic licence is justified here.
