Revision/reorganization of the Vital Statistics Registry Department Explanation: Or Vital Statistics Registry Department reorganization/revision/restructure by using a re...verb, you can imply that a new system is being implemented. I believe that they are restructuring the department, not only the registry itself, since they are talking about the whole public system just before that. Vital Statistics Registry restructure/rerganization They have restructured the way that the Registry is organized Main Entry: re·or·ga·nize Pronunciation: "rE-'or-g&-"nIz Function: verb Inflected Forms: -nized; -niz·ing transitive verb : to rearrange the plan or structure of : organize again or anew; specifically : to cause (a business) to undergo a reorganization intransitive verb : to reorganize something assètto [Enciclopedie - Enciclopedia generale] assètto sm. structure of the Registry office Explanation: I know that the Italian Government is restructuring its Registry/Registrar's offices now, and they are going to introduce a whole new set of computers and equipment for the passports - so, it definitely is system structure/set up, now I wouldn't mind if there was any native English user that might correct me on the proper name of the Registry office - office issuing birth certificates, performs civil matrimony acts and passports -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 hrs (2006-07-13 08:52:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Check out this link of Italian registry office abroad, there is the italian original on top, and scrolling down you'll find the English translation - It is not statistics - definetely only Registry http://www.italianconsulateboston.org/italian/anagrafe.html This is another one of the city of Venice - it is translated as registry office http://www.comune.venezia.it/demografici/anagrafe/home_eng.a... In English, they use Register Office for the same purpose - simple google search on Register office will do the trick, however here is the first link that pops up in that relation http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ |
