Italian term

posta creditoria

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi everyone, I need help translating the following in a legal document:

"tale credito dovrà essere in ogni caso posto in compensazione con qualsivoglia ***posta creditoria*** dovesse venire riconosciuta"

Any ideas? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

credit item

To translate the term is simple, a "posta" is an item or entry in the accounts, while creditorio is the adjective for a credit.
Understanding the phrase from the very little context is much more difficult. Normally you offset credits against debts, but here we seem to be saying that a receivable (credito) must be paid by any credit item?!

Thanks Cristiana, I always hold my breath with these because as you undoubtedly know, in English a "creditor item" is a "posta debitoria". It is like doing things in the mirror.
