Italian term or phrase: canone
From a financial leasing agreement with a bank.I need a clear translation of the entire sentence which contains a number of tricky words:"Il corrispettivo del contratto viene regolato dall'Utilizzatore mediante versamento di un canone anticipato iniziale e di canoni periodici. L'Utilizzatore deve pagare anche le spese istruttoria ed apertura pratica".

Explanation:
the consideration for the agreement shall be paid by the User by means of an initial amount to be paid in advance and followed by periodical instalments. The User shall also pay all expenses related to the initial investigations and all set up costs.

I am afraid that part of the wording may change depending on the terms you used in other parts of the agreement. The meaning should nevertheless be as above.
Hope it helps.

Bye

Barbara

Explanation:
As for the term you asked I agree with the translation given by Barbarella....
I think that in the legal field the "istruttoria" can be translated with "evidence finding".

Hope it helps.
Good luck

17 hrs
fee

Explanation:
canone in this case means a regular fixed fee payment. For example "canone mensile di telefono" means the monthly fixed fee one pays for having a telepohone.
