"old boy network"

Explanation:
... it must be in inverted commas, to work as a translation from Italian because Italy doesn't have schools like Eton, Harrow, Westminster etc. but the idea's the same,

neutral  Barbara Toffolon (X): Yeah! Eton - like in "The Saint"...do they use this system?
2 mins
-> I'm afraid so. The entire Tory front bench in the UK House of Commons all went to Eton.....

neutral  James (Jim) Davis: Its nigh thirty years since I lived in the UK, but the "old boy network" doesn't pervade every nook and cranny of society like "clientelismo" does here. I mean even my dentist wants to know which side I'm on!!! Which scares me to death naturally.
1 hr
-> ah, but in the UK the old boy network isn't low politics as it is in Italy; it pretends to be more noble than that.
