Sclerosi delle SA

English translation: sclerosis of the aortic semilunar valves

Italian to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology / transthoracic echocardiogram
Italian term or phrase: Sclerosi delle SA
This is from a transthoracic echocardiogram report, under 'Mitral valve'

The handwriting is atrocious but I think it says:

'sclerosi delle SA flusso nei limiti IAo [illegible]'

The 'flusso' might not be there - it might be something else...

If anyone could help with the meaning of SA that would be great. The only thing Google seems to be bringing up is 'Stenosi Aortica'...

English translation:sclerosis of the aortic semilunar valves
Explanation:
I think your hunch was correct; "delle" shows they're referring to a feminine noun.
This is quite a neat explanation:
"The normal human heart contains 4 valves that regulate blood flow into and out of the heart. The aortic and pulmonic valves are known as the semilunar valves, whereas the tricuspid and mitral valves are referred to as the atrioventricular valves. All the valves are trileaflet, with the exception of the mitral valve, which has 2 leaflets."
So the aortic valve by definition is a semilunar valve, so I'm unsure of the need to state this in your translation.
So either "sclerosis of the aortic semilunar valves", but since your heading is "aortic valve" it seems a little superfluous. I think simply "sclerosis" would suffice.
Buon lavoro!
