cosmetic breast surgery.

Difetti di cicatrizzazione
- Cicatrici diastasate
Cicatrizzazione ipertrofia e cheloidea

The nearest reference I can find is 'diastase', but how is this a scar defect like cicatrici discromiche/scar discoloration?

Any help greatly appreciated.

wound dehiscence
Explanation:
Hi Amy,

One usually talks about "ferite diastasate". It means that the wound borders have failed to get bound to each other during the healing process.

"Diastasis" does exist in medical English, but it's used in other contexts. Here, the word is "dehiscence".

Good luck,

Elena
