Italian term
persali
Italian to English
Medical
Medical (general)
Refers to a business concentrating in acqua ossigenata e persali.
The first is hydrogen peroxide, but I can't figure the second one out, and would appreciate any suggestions. There are tons of g-hits for the above expression, but I still can't make heads or tails of it.
Thanks!

Persali
Found on google, it appears that in English you can use exactly the same word, here's a sentence from the doc posted as ref below:
"... from the group consisting of percarboxylic acid and salts, percarbonic acids and salts,
perimidic acids and salts, peroxymonosulfuric acids and salts, and mixtures thereof; a
persali such as perborate compounds, percarbonate compounds, perphosphate compounds
and mixtures thereof; or a peroxide compound"

Italian to English dictionary entries
1. persale (chim.), persalt.
[source Hoepli's The Complete Technical Dictionary]
2. persale s.m. persalt.
[source La Biblioteca di Republica's l'Enciclopedia Dizionario di Italian-Inglese]
Definition
per·salt n. a salt of a peracid
[web source]
In medicine & pharmacy:
per·salt n. a salt containing the greatest proportion possible of the peroxy group.
[web source]
One source shows it as obselete:
"Per salt (Old Chem.), a salt supposed to be derived from a
peroxide base or analogous compound. [Obs.]"
I agree that it's obselete as far as use, because the process thought to make it was wrong. But, there's no other way to translate it from Italian. In general, they're known today as 'peroxide salts.'
So, it's a choice of literal translation or substituting with what is technically correct.
