I'm not sure what to do with this little word "in" in this phrase.

This is a chest X-ray report about a patient who had squamous-cell carcinoma of the esophagus treated with chemotherapy and radiation. She then developed stenosis of the esophagus which was treated with insertion of a biodegradable stent, followed by respiratory complications for which she was again hospitalized.

The X-ray report says "presenza di drenaggio toracico dx con polmone dx a parete *in falda di versamento pleurico* di modica entita."

So this patient has a chest drain in the right side of the chest with fully expanded right lung ... and "falda di versamento pleurico" is really just "pleural effusion". What does the word "in" mean here? Can I just say "... with moderate pleural effusion"?
